作为身居海外的华人，我们为悠久的中华历史，丰富的文化内涵而感到自豪，同时我们也深感自己有责任为我们的下一代提供学习中文的机会和条件，有责任通过学
校这个窗口让英国当地社会和民众了解中国文化。
目前，英国的中等教育大纲已经将中文列入外语考试范围，中国的中文水平考试也成为很多成人的学习目标。因此，我们的学校要提供一个最 良好的中文学习环境。
我们的学生来自不同的文化教育背景，他们的中文水平也各有不同，因此我们要因人施教，采用灵活的教学方法，最重要的是激发学生的学习 积极性，保持他们持久的学习兴趣和热情。
我们要让我们的孩子们在学习中文的同时，培养他们了解多元文化的兴趣，积极融入多元化社会，成为具备各种才能的社会精英。

Message
from the Headmistress
The Chinese
language has the longest history and is used by the worlds
largest population. In the UK,
the importance of the Chinese language is reflected in its inclusion in the
modern GCSE and A-Level modern foreign language examinations. More and more
people are interested in learning Chinese and our job, as educationalists,
continues to be a rewarding and challenging experience. Our students come
from a variety of backgrounds and have different reasons for learning Chinese
and we find that in an English-speaking world, the opportunity afforded to
them to practice and refine their language skills are limited. Therefore, the
school has adopted an approach in teaching that promotes higher levels of
confidence in their Chinese language skills that both motivates their
learning interest and develops their learning potential. In practice, that
means more vocabulary from daily conversations and interesting lesson
structures.
I am very
proud to be associated with the school and to see our students succeed so
admirably in their exam results.
